A wine from the Farnese group. From the province of Manduria, this is made mostly from old bush vine grapes, the balance trellised 20 years plus vines. Aged in 2nd and 3rd fill barriques for 6-8 months. Intense ruby red colour with violet reflections. On the nose lovely black and morello cherry along with red and black berries and vanilla oak. On the palate rich with some real fruit sweetness , black cherry plum, and some raisin and oak. It’s creamy and dense with subtle bitter sweet characters.
